VOL is the first holding company of business tycoon Dhammika Perera, consolidating his personal and controlling/strategic stakes in Royal Ceramics, LB Finance and Sampath Bank as well as an upcoming luxury resort in Negombo. VOL also has interests in renewable energy projects.

The IPO involves 20 million ordinary voting shares priced at Rs. 25 each, which was the same price at which VOL had a private placement early this year to raise Rs. 4.9 billion via issuance of 196 million shares. The latter was not only the biggest ever private placement but was a sell-out with Rs. 7.5 billion worth of applications received.

This is Sri lanka my friend, CSE is run buy the manipulators and inside trading at its peak, if a Don of Business or a Minister interested in a certain share (lets say plantation) they will spread news that plantation is doing bad and all the crap, our stupid retailers fell in the trap and sell most of their shares

KGAL is the best example and today saw huge buy orders at 200 range

CSE recovers from 2 week lows; speculative buying continues

Sri Lanka's stock market edged up on Friday led by heavy retail speculation in Capital Land , while the rupee edged up on heavy dollar selling by both exporters and banks.

Sri Lanka's main share index closed 0.41 percent or 30.12 points firmer at 7,406.02, its highest since May 31.

Speculative buying in Colombo Land & Development Company , which jumped 8 percent, boosted the turnover. Analysts said rumour of a revisited business plan under a new board of directors sparked the buying.

The day's turnover was 4.15 billion Sri Lanka rupees ($37.8 million), well above last year's average of 2.4 billion and this year's daily average of 2.87 billion.

Shares 12000 ganna nam hambawenne neha. The minimum share request is 500 shares . definitely this will be oversubscribe. so to have 12000 shares you have to block millions of money for some time
