even if they promise a bandwidth of 8 med or 16 meg on best effort base the maximum u can get in reality is less than 4 meg in many cases. in countires like UK & Oz adsl providers promote adsl2+ which has a maximum bandwidth of 24 meg in DSL market but in many cases most of the customers get 2 meg or something. when the distance from telephone exhange to the cutomer's premise grows the speeds reduces greatly. i dont think anybody ever will get a 8 meg or something. bcoz of dsl's internet's inability to provide the pormised bandwith australian regulators recently banned isp's from advertisieng their bandwiths on their web sites. now they can only mention the technology like adsl, adsl2, adsl2+ etc.

There will not be any UNLIMITED packages from any ISP. TRC needs tax money for every MB. That is the scene. With FUP SLT do not have any competitive advantage. Therefore Mobile Broad band is a good option than these packages.

Mobile broadband is not a good option if you are a online gamer and torrent downloader
