Someone please explain, what does cache has to do with gaming? Does it server better?
(I know its good when running multiple tasks, but Im talking about playing only a game, then does cache matters?)

Some CPUs synchronize their cores through their caches, so for those CPUs, the structure of the cache (but not its amount) makes a big difference. For example, a Core 2 Duo running two threads can do all core-to-core communication through cache. But a Core 2 Quad has to give up half its L2 cache to do that (again, assuming two threads). So the greater cache in the Core 2 Quad may actually not help you for some tasks.

But if you mean a CPU with a 3MB cache compared to one with a 6MB cache, it usually makes very little difference. I could give you a much more detailed answer if you listed two specific CPUs.
