Agree with this a 100%. Brake pad change is such a simple job to learn and to try if you like doing DYI maintenance.

බ්රේක් පෑඩ් ස්ප්රින් තියානවනං ඒවත් බලල දාන්න... මේව එක එක වාහන වල එක එක විදිහට එන්න පුලුවන්. සමහර වාහන වල මෙහෙම ස්ප්රින් එන්නෙ නෑ... ස්ප්රන් එන වාහනයක්නං අනිවාර්යයෙන් බලල දාන්න...
මේ ස්ප්රින් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට කැඩිල තියෙන්න පුලුවන්. මොකද මේව රත් වෙනව, ෆැටිග්ෆේලියර් වෙන්න, ඉඩ කඩ වැඩියි... මක බාස්ල ගැලෙවුවම ඕව ආයෙ දාන්නෙ නැතුව තියෙන්නත් පුලුවන්...

Thought I'll share a some extra details.
The caliper type above is called a 'Floating caliper'. Most of the time there`s only one piston (towards the inside of the car). There are two glide pins which helps the caliper to move and apply brake pressure from the outside pad as well.
Here`s a brake pad change I did over the weekend on my car.. This one is a "Fixed" type caliper. There are two pistons on both sides, the Caliper wont move.. "Fixed" type calipers are generally found on high performance brake applications (Brembo brakes etc... ).
This is also a very easy job, there are two pins holding the calipers in place, just need to punch the pins out to pull the pads out. Then new pads in, pins pushed in and we are done.
These are 345mm brake rotors in my car, so the rotor and pads are quite large.
Size difference of rear brake pads from a Honda CRV against those rear pads that i just replaced..
And also, if you want to change the brake rorots/disks as well, its generally just two bolts holding the caliper in place. Just remove the two bolts from the back and take the caliper out. Then can just pull the rotor out, replace with new rotor.
Can see the caliper taken out here in this picture (can see the two holes where the bolts go). This is a brake job for a front wheel drive car I did..
