I want to emphasize is that, it's not fair to increase prices for electricity at this moment. I understand that hydro plants are not sustainable 24/7 and electricity is generated in real-time, but we can still consider offering low-cost advantage when pricing. That's why, I suggest we have to analyse the consumption data before making any decisions. (see my first comment about this )You have no idea how Power work apparently. There is a limit for the hydro plants turbine’s capacity and it doesn’t matter how low your usage is they cannot run an entire country 24/7 365. Let’s say all the high electricity users quit CEB and switch to LECO. Still CEB cannot give you all low current users power solely from Dams when the demand is at peak. Then there are drought seasons where the dam’s water level drops and all the power is generated by the coal and fuel power plants. On top of that now your low usage asses can pay all the loans and salaries of CEB by yourselves. Good luck with that. Get some education man and stop repeating what cunning politicians say to dumb people.
On top of that all the high power users are switching to Solar now making their CEB bills 0. Low power users will have a bright future soonGood luck paying and maintaining your Charity Electricity Board
This is not about receiving charity, but about addressing the issue of increasing poverty rates. We cannot ignore this problem, and we need to take action as a community. The slogans like "api hambu karoth api kawa" is not a solution.
There is no such thing as low cost advantage. If you need a bunch of different type of power plants to support a country's power grid that cost should be divided equally. The argument 'Coal and Diesel power plants are there because of high power users' is such a dumb thing to say. Roughly cost of a unit is around 58 and high power users pay 75 rs per unit. Milk them more and they will stop paying that 75 rs as well by switching to solar. Chase away the middle class out of this country by asking them to pay for other dumb fks and you can run your charity by yourselves soon. Threewheel drivers earn much as middle-middle class and they pay no taxes of any sort. They just drink and chill while the jobbing people are supposed to do their 'social responsibilty' by paying for others. Fk that nonsense. Hey if you want the law to be equal then the same goes with other stuff as well. There is a limit to any charity. Professionals are migrating permanently. This is not the 80s where you didn't have much options and stuck with a bunch of morons. If IT sector keeps migrating you can export tea for like a decade until it fails too.
