We can't go ahead as country without English. Take Singapore for a example,
Their ability of using English Language was a factor of their development

That's true..

i never went for a English class in my life (i am bit shy to group classes),

so far i show almost every English films with subtitles. even from 1948 Bicycle Thieves ,Rear Window (1954) 12 Angry Men (1957).

i never watch the film or TV series without proper subtitle, i will waits days for that.

You can polish you language with your entertainment time like films and TV series.

i am still struggle with grammar, but in future i can make it that also.

last time i spoke with a Newzealand couples on train from Colombo to kandy, almost 2.5hrs without any struggle.

English Film + Subtitle(English) = Best Guru

Some time some EK guys gave - rep for me for bad English.. but who cares

they also studying English. for them all resources are in the country, they don't depend on other countries. that's why they don't care so much about other languages

i started watching english movies with eng subs for no reason
then i began to understand that my english is improving.
now my english is well improved...
but still struggling on speaking side...
