, too late to save me now )
here is a small advice. (I wish someone gave me these when I started getting a salary, too late to save me now )
let's say your take home salary is 100000k,
assuming you don't already have debts to pay or grand plans for every rupee of da salary or you don't have excess amount of money
First, think your take home salary is 65000 & not 100000 (100000 - 35000), (that, government deduct 35000 from your 100000 and there is no shit you can do about it)
Now get a sampath professional account,
with that you will get a "savings manager" account. ask bank to allocate 25000/- rupees each month and automatically create a 5 year FD through that. (this is a free feature)
then open another double S or hit saver account and deposit 10000 every month (manually, get a vishwa online account and can do everything through that). this is your buffer account.
now remaining 65000 is the amount for your guilt free use.
reason to do this is Parkinson's law is not only applicable to time, but also to money you earn, that is your expenses will adjust to the amount you earn.
so if you earn only 65000/- your expenses will not exceed that.
In 5 years, you will see something interesting
P.S.
25000 & 10000 are da minimum numbers. larger they are the better
P.S.2
Get a life insurance also, if you want I can introduce you to my agent
