How did you check this?

In mine (civic hybrid), the tank capacity is 46.6 liters. When the low fuel indicator comes, the tank still has 7.5 liters left. All of this information is in the service manual so I think you better check that for your car as well.

6.5 Litres of fuel remaining in the tank.

But not how much is full tank

How do you say, that is impossible i think. cause i was able to pump only 28 liters. when fuel indicator came up. :-| Please be accurate. Thanks for the reply

10.6 Galoon which means 40 liters. but i cant still understand how come i only got 28 liters. :-| when i quickly pumped fuel as the indicator came up. :-|

When the light comes up.. I usually pump 40L to fill to the brim.

So I assumed it should be 50L


I have not faced this situation with the Hybrid.. but my previous car's actually "petrol light" signal sometimes depended on the angle the vehicle stopped

yeah.. if the vehicle was inclined (climbing) the petrol light goes ON and the when it's on flat.. it's turns OFF again ...

However,... take it easy..

if you are newly owned the car... chill for a while and give it about a month.. you will find them out eventually.

Besides.. when you get a range meter... who gives a shit about how many literes you need for a full tank?

Range meter is pretty useless when running low on fuel. You have to be driving at a steady speed for couple of miles to get an accurate reading from it.

Range meter is accurate... DEAD accurate. Usually as for my measurements, it has to be on an even speed for 2 km's or every 10 minutes otherwise the sensor updates the range meter.

But it becomes useless if you pump petrol for say (500/- or 1000/-) and it's enough for the sensors to shut off the indicator light.

Then it's useless..., otherwise, it's pretty correct if you pay due attention needed for it.

Does the manual has a section called specifications? Check under that. It lists the capacity of all containers in the car such as windshield washer fluid container, engine oil reservoir, cvt , fuel etc.
