Our transportation system, health system, etc. really sucks compared to them.

I'm in no way protecting our narrow minded politicians!

But bro, Our HEALTH, EDUCATION, TRANSPORTATION is all FREE and we still managed to keep them better than other countries in our region!

I'm glad that our politicians are at least not stupid enough to build Nuclear Weapons while half of the country is in dire straights!

What if all the ROADS are privatized in order to provide better services, you would have to pay for TOLL too, let alone TOLL people can't even pay the BUS FEE now!!

SL is a better country for living...i may say best. but politicians ruined it. politics ruined it. still we are suffering from that damn war. so i cant say it is better when comparing with other countries. but as sri lanklans... as A buddhist.... as A sinhalese SL isthe best place to us. no matter what you did in a foreign country, what you are.... even if you are a citizen of that country still you are a stranger.....

But my mind says to Live in Australia.

Why?

Heart: Sri Lanka is the place where you were born. Your friends/ family is there. And you get Koththu, Old Reserve, DCSL, Lion Larger there....

Mind: C'mon mate... You won't get all the things you get in here if you go to Sri Lanka! Most of all... will you get the stress free life and the peace of mind back @ SL? And you get what you pay for. People are not Selfish like in Sri Lanka. People value your ability whereas in Sri Lanka you have to kiss a politicians ass to go up. And you get better education for your kids. You don't need to worry or you don't have any fear about your girl/ wife coming home after 10pm alone. People don't try to harras your wife of daughters inside public transportation...

So I'm better off living in Australia Maybe after another 20 - 30 yrs, IF I have a saving of about $100,000,00 then I might think about going back and living in SL

Yeah but as transportation I was referring to the state of our Roads etc., keeping them in tip top condition is not a problem machang... if govt. call out a tender tomorrow for Highway maintenance 100 companies will give proposals! but if implemented paarawal hondata thiyei but can an average Sri Lankan afford to pay toll each time you use the road? Inguru deela Miris gatta wage thiyei!!

Politics? Aiyo!! no need to talk about the obvious machang! If they lay the correct foundations now at least in another 3 decades we'll reap the benefits, we need a system that doesn't change with every president we get

In sri lanka you can have a respectable life with no trouble at all.
most of SL guyes work 20hours a day in a minor employment in Ausi and say ."we are enjoying our life here"
