Relax dude, I think you misunderstood the term HSMP. If you are in Tier 2 (general) you can apply for the ILR after 5 years but if you are here under HSMP you cant. Here are the evidence https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk/y/you-have-a-work-visa/highly-skilled-migrant-programme
HSMP is a different thing!

Oh. But HSMP is not functioning since 2008 and not relevant now. highly skilled migrants come through tier 2 visa so the 5 year rule applies

I think they are going to start HSMP from 2021.
