NAVITEL 3.2


The long awaited Navitel 3.2 working version. The version I get it from one of the russian site and it work well for my WinCE 4.2 car in-desh device.
You need to convert the Garmin IMG map to Navitel NM2 map format using GPSmapedit version 1.0.48.0 and you can download it from here

Once you have done the conversion, copy the NM2 map to the map folder and run the Navitel program. The program will need to generate a map indexing file before use.
I had add in English voice with English language.This is a auto version and it will auto detect your device GPS com port and bits rate.


Use this.. It wil uncompress the maps contain in your gmasupp.img and the you will probably be able to open them in GPSmapedit

To get English Language:
Download PPC Version (CAB) from Navitels homepage,
Extract Cab-file to new folder
Rename file 00000409.004 to 0409.rll and put it in Navitels folder or get the file already renamed at

Sorry to break up the party guys, The map you are running is NOT the SALA MAP. Sala GIS Maps are encrypted and does not have many errors that you have mentioned here. You are using a Russian made sri lankan map, which was compiled using OSM Data. It runs from 1 single active file (about 3MB). I released it to the internet. You may find proof in Lakdasun forum.

Dont believe me ? Delete all the files in the Atlas folder and just leave the sri lanka 3.2 nm file and restart the program. Your map would still run, Even without the SALA GIS files. Which means you are not running the SALA map.

Im not asking for money to release the original content, I just need a New clone of a SALA ProSAT Device which has been purchased recently. So i can release an up to date version.

I dont wanna release this now, because it will go a long way and many people will release it like their own work, See how far hat demo sri lankan map has come. I just mailed it a to a person who inquired about navitel Just 1 Mail. I dont mind that.

But the development of that SALA map, and search for an updated version halts upon release. Im not sure what SALA will come up with to block all this. So better hurry up, while it still works.

Not sure whether this detail map came from you, which downloaded from the internet! you could try it (get it here).. it didn't work with Garmin anyway.

And this is the base map (get it here)....it worked on Garmin, but not much details on it!

No ones talking about a GARMIN here mate. To get Garmin related stuff, Go by my Blog. (gpssrilanka.blogspot.com) I cant post everything here. Garmin is now outdated, and has Freeze issues on Most Symbian Devices.

Yeah, I can assure you that the secondary detail map of Garmin was made by me. (Which I don't think you know of. Its GMAPSUP2.IMG) - That enables displaying of details.

Basemap was made by Garmin, Original Sri Lankan map is from mapcenter.

However, The UI, Lock Speed, Accuracy wise, I'd still vote for Garmin. Navtel, IMO is nowhere closer to that.

yes sometimes it works properly.. sometime it shows green direct line (from start point to the end point) without that blue route.
