We all tend to keep several tabs open... I just checked mine... 58 Windows and 268 Tabs.....
You have only 4GB, check what the Chrome usage is...
Otherwise use something like the "Great Discarder"

Then you could customize the frequency Chrome discards unused tabs. You can change the length of time, specify tabs not to discard, and so on. This will save memory.
