Ideally Colombo 7, 3, 4, 5 quiet residential areas with lot of greenery, less pollution and everything is near.

if you're middle class : Nugegoda, Nawala, Boralesgamuwa, Battaramulla, or highway connected outer suburbs like Malabe, Kottawa, ,Kesbewa. when port access highway opens, you can reach galleface/ Portcity within 30 mins from these areas.

for retirement : non other than Kandy, not too hot, not too cool. can live without an AC. good vibes for old age

Flat areas, at least 20km away from flooding or Tsunami, not very urban..nature intact...
with latest events..hillside is out of the list..

I once made a stop over in Japan and observed from air, how methodical the paddy fields were made, utilizing the land to its fullest

I do not know who f...ed up the island most, the White person or the Native after 1948..



If every province/ state was established with a state of the art, co-ed RC/ VC type school, then I believe, most of that congestion and GDP is going to be distributed almost equally around the 9 provinces/ states. And I also believe for that devolution of power was necessary, to make what's right for each province/ state by its inhabitants.

On a secondary note, what do you guys think of the new Central Expressway and environmental damage..?
