Once the hair follicle dies it will be gone forever. As of now there's only 2 effective treatments in the world that actually works. Finasteride and Minoxidil. Everything else is Placebo stuff and you will loose it all.
You can test your hair from a hair clinic, they will scan and see and identify. Each follicle should have 2-3 hairs coming out. But this can change on top to 1-2 weak ones. At this stage you can get/keep your hair by going through Minoxidil. But eventually you will need to go with Finasteride if the balding can worsen.
Also note that balding and receding hairline is bit different. (Widows peak)
If you have your forehead becoming larger as hair recedes, better to get a hair transplant to keep the young hairline with small forehead
