true that as much as looking for Alien life is interesting, its also scares the shit out of me sometimes. Because, baring those small scale aliens like bacteria and stuff, there is 99% chance that all other alien lives out there are way more intelligent than we humans. what if they take out all the humans when we found them? aren't we going to kill our selves? its the exact same reason AI is not developed in a larger scale you know. We have all the technology in the world to develop AI, but we are not. because unlike human brain, AI can develop their intelligence in matter of seconds. So we never know what could happen

yeah exactly. but one thing to point out is that, when it comes to this topic we are talking in 'years' not in hours or months or days. So what would happen in another 5-10 years? or may be 15-20 years? about 20 years ago no one would have thought they will have what we have now technologically. about 10 years ago no one would have imagine that there is liquid water on mars. back then no one would have dreamed of humans going in to moon and likewise. So who know what could happen in another 10 years? We might find lot more things, scientists might explore lot more things you know so who knows
