මෙන්න මේකයි සීන් එක. මේකේ ඉන්නවනේ ෆොටෝග්‍රැෆි සම්බන්ද පොරවල් සෙට් එකක් අන්න ඒ අයගෙන් පොඩි උපදෙසක් ඕන. මම නේචර් ෆොටෝග්‍රෆි වලට ගොඩක් ඉන්ට්‍රස්ටින් එත් තාම DSLR එකකට මාරු උනේ නැහැ. මේකේ ත්‍රෙඩ් කීපයක් වැටුනනේ කැනන් ද නිකොන් ද වැඩිය හොද කියල අහල, ඉතින් මමත් ඒකම ආපහු අහල නිකම් ඇරගන්න ඕනේ නැනේ, මේකයි සිද්දිය මට වර්ගය අවුලක් නැහැ නමුත් මැක්‍රෝ වලට මම මාර ආසයි අනිත් එක කැලේ පැනල ෆොටෝ ගහනකොට හිතපන් සතා උනත් ලගට ඇවිත් කියන්නේ නැනේ ඔන්න මම හිනා වුන ගනින් පින්තුරයක් කියල, සාමාන්‍ය දුරක තියන දෙයක් කැප්චර් කරගන්න හොද ලෙන්ස් එකක් අනිවාර්යයි. එහෙනම්,

1. පාවිච්චි කරපු කැමරා එකක් සෙට් කරගන්නකොට හොයල බලන්න ඕන දේවල් මොනවද?

2. ශටර් කවුන්ට් එක වැඩි කැමරා එකක් අවුල්ද?

3. ලෙන්සස් මාරු කරනකොට සැලකිලිමත් වෙන්න ඕන කරුණු?

4. මේ මම උඩින් කියපු වැඩ ටික කරගන්න උබල රෙකමන්ඩ් කරන කැමරාස් මොනවද?

ඔන්න ඔය ප්‍රශ්න ටික ලිහාගන්න හෙල්ප් එකක් දීපල්ලා, මොන ගුබ්බායමක රින්ගුවත් වැඩක් නැහැ හරි හමන් හිතට වදින ෆොටෝස් ටිකක් නැත්තම්, ලොකුම ප්ලෑන් එක ලබන අවුරුද්දේ එවරස්ට් පැත්තට රවුමක් යන්න හිතේ තියනවා, ඉතින් එහෙම ගමනකදී ගන්න පින්තුර ටික ගොඩක් වටිනවා.

අයිඩියා එකක් නැත්තම් බම්පියක් හරි දාල යන හැමෝටම සලකනවා අනිවාරෙන්!

- Condition of camera. Is it working? Any dust on sensor?

- It depends. You can check shutter count with software

3. ලෙන්සස් මාරු කරනකොට සැලකිලිමත් වෙන්න ඕන කරුණු?

Be careful of dust, don't drop lens!!!

4. මේ මම උඩින් කියපු වැඩ ටික කරගන්න උබල රෙකමන්ඩ් කරන කැමරාස් මොනවද?

Canon or Nikon are good. Canon can be cheaper in Sri Lanka. Personally I prefer and use Canon but Nikon is fine.

Others such as Sony etc are OK but lenses and accessories are difficult to find in Sri Lanka

Wildlife Lens - Canon 75-300 or 55-250
You can get 75-300 used for $150 on ebay

Camera - any Canon Body, used is fine. Say a 40d or 1000d or t1i with 18-55 lens, around $200 - $300

මචන් උඹට ජාතිය අවුලක් නැත්නම් Nikon walin D7000 හරි ඊට උඩ කැමරාවකට පලයන්.. Canon නම් 60D හරි ඊට උඩ කැමරාවකට පලයන්.. මොකද wildlife කරනවානම් focusing speed එක ගොඩක් වැදගත්.. උඹ මෙයින් මොන කැමරාවක් ගත්තත් හොඳ ලෙන්ස් නැත්නම් වැඩක නෑ... Macro නම් ඉතින් ගණන්.. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් Wildlife වලට 300 හරි ඊට වැඩි Zoom ලෙන්ස් එකකට පලයන්.. Nikon නම් VR ලෙන්ස් එකකට පලයන්.. Canon නම් Is තියෙන ලෙන්ස් එකකට පලයන්.. use කරපු කැමරාවක් ගන්න ඉන්නවනම් low shutter එකක් ගනින්..

* Check shutter count - less is better
* Check camera body - scratches, damages etc, rubber may come off when used camera lot.
* Check sensor - dust, oil, fungus (mirror up test or take photo of sky and see)
* Check accessories - batteries and charger must be genuine.
* Check the autofoucus - some cameras have back or front focus issues
* Check buttons and dials
* Check the lenses carefully. fungus and dust can be inside. use small torch to light up. also check lens mount
* Make sure camera body or lens screws never open
* Check the LCD screen for dead pixels
* Ask how it is stored. there is possibility of having fungus if not used and stored without a drybox.

2. ශටර් කවුන්ට් එක වැඩි කැමරා එකක් අවුල්ද?

Yes, Every sensor has maximum number of images can be taken. It depends on the sensor and not a exact amount. Low-end camera can have problems after about 50 000 shots.

3. ලෙන්සස් මාරු කරනකොට සැලකිලිමත් වෙන්න ඕන කරුණු?

Not getting dust into the camera body.

4. මේ මම උඩින් කියපු වැඩ ටික කරගන්න උබල රෙකමන්ඩ් කරන කැමරාස් මොනවද?

Nikon or Cannon is personal preference. I like Nikon. If you are a beginner go with entry level body and get good lens for macro (100mm). If you need to take pics of wild animals you will have to buy 300mm or higher lens (200mm if you are on budget)
