That not what I said. He doesn't have any experience at all. Just because someone says MIT is good doesn't mean you have to go work for them. Besides he has to think about salary.

1. MIT is a friendly environment. You can get advice from any of them. Telling by experience.

3. I think there are few companies competitive enough for MIT salaries. As the companies ltty head has mentioned.

4. You have the food, transportation toyour door step.. (I think they give transportation anywhere around western province)

I think go for the MIT offer. Work there at least 2 years. Then settle for a job else where if you feel not satisfied. But that 2 years work there will pay off.

Going through this thread it looks like it is not just 'someone', but quite a lot of people who say that MIT is good.

You should not give too much weight to your starting salary in any case. The experience and knowledge you gain in your first job is far more important.

Also, please do enlighten us on what companies it can be considered to be a 'big deal' to get into.
