:yes::yes: The brand of test cricket is so different now :yes: Positive approach is so crucial nowadays :) Yes Kaushal is nore than capable and more than enough for the anchor role.He is the sort of guy who should be in a test team.I feel, like Samare did even Kaushal will get his SR up for a bit.not a lot but a little bit would do it :) until then let him play the way he plays I think :)

I don't see Thirimanne as a good test material though. He doesn't know how to approach in test cricket. If you look at the today's second inning, he batted well for the short period he was there. the reason behind was that it was necessary to score runs quickly and close the game and that was the plan too.SO he had a positive approach.but when it comes to a normal say first inning of a test match, he simply doesn't know how rotate strike or even score runs at a decent pace.the reason for that is that he is not a naturally aggressive player. So when you are just trying to dig it in and bat through the day he simply doesn't know how to get the runs in between.and all of a sudden when he wants to score some quick runs he just play some poor shots and give the wicket away.but if you look at ODIs, it actually has the situation which we had in the second inning today which is to score runs at a pace.So that is always in his mind so he know that he need to rotate strike and get some boundaries here and there.Sure still you can't expect him to be a very aggressive player even in ODIs but he is definitely suitable for anchor role or carrying the innings forward in an ODI innings.I wouldn't mind him playing even in T20s given that he has good technique and when you are 2-3 down for nothing he can build the inning for the latter order to score big.but in tests, well he is nowhere. unless SL continue to play in this positive approach which is btw is not easy in some tough conditions where you need your natural ability to get out of the shell and take some calculated risks and hit some runs I don't see him continue playing test cricket

haha ow aluth rule ekak gennala 12th man wath match ekata daganna puluwan nam dimma wa 12th man thiyala first inning fail wena ekaawa ain karala ea wenuwata dimmawa second inning eke bat karanna danna one :P

Yep I too believe Lahiru is not a test player (at least when considering the way he has batted so far) - I mentioned it just because he will be there in the team no matter what his output is. So there will be too of same kind though Kaushal is way better than Lahiru.
Dimuth full happy eke neh! u consistent nethi eka thama awula - anika ona welawata gahanneth ne - I think still he cant handle the pressure it seems

Yeah thats so unfortunate. no matter what Thirimanne will be in the team it seems :dull::dull::dull:
Yeah he seems so happy :D true that he isn't consistent. specially because he hasn't performed well in first innings. He is riding is luck a lot too.don't know how long will he survive like this.but he certainly has the potential.given he didn't do so poorly as some other players like Thirimanne, we can afford to give him few more chances and see how he goes :):)
