• Suggest a name for this city (maximum three words)
• The name can be in any language. However its translation in English, Sinhala and Tamil must not have any negative connotations
• Provide a brief explanation for the suggested name
• The name should appeal to both local and international audiences
• Provide your full name, copy of NIC and contact details with address along with your entry
• Entries should be sent under registered cover to reach the ‘Secretary’, The Ministry of Megapolis & Western Development, 17th and 18th Floors, Suhurupaya, Sri Subuthi Road, Battaramulla 10120 or email [email protected]
• ‘Name for Port City Colombo’ must be written on the top left hand corner of the envelope
• You can send as many entries as you wish
• Deadline for entry submission: 2nd April 2018
• All entries received post the entry submission date will be disqualified
Selecting a winner:
• A three member committee appointed by the Secretary, The Ministry of Megapolis & Western Development will be evaluating entries
• The winner will be selected on 30th April 2018 and notified via email and post
• Only one person with the selected name will be entitled to win Rs. 100,000
• The appointed committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry which does not meet the above criteria and the decision made by the said committee will be final
