මේ ජූනි මාසේ ඉඳන් අලුතෙන් තියෙන online system එකෙන් normal service එකෙන් පාස්පෝර්ට් එක එන්න දවස් කියක් ගියාද? අපිට පාස්පෝර්ට් එක තැපෑලෙන් එනකන් ඉන්නේ නැතුව ගිහින් ගන්න පුලුවන්ද

I applied online and today gave the Fingerprints at Head-office ..............It is very convenient it seems


1. take photo in a registered studio, they will give you a reference number
2. Get the Scaned images of your Birth certificate back and front , NIC back and Front ,previous passport , Your degree certificate if you are putting your profession , Employment confirmation letter ( all document should be JPEG , No PDF allowed )
3. Register your mobile and email in https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/onlinetd/OnlineTD/'#/home ( Mozilla firefox browser doesn't work , use alternative )
4. Fill the application and upload all relevant documents , It gives you a reference number to pay at nearest BOC branch as well as it ask you to select place to give fingerprints ,my suggestion is to go to nearest regional office , Head office is still very crowded
5 Online payment options doesn't work , You have to physically go to branch ( 5000 for normal service 14 days , 15000 for urgent service 3 days after fingerprints
6 In bank get a normal deposite slip and write refference number in Account number field deposit money ,once done you will get a messege from imigration for Finger Prints
7. Go to the place with your previous Passport ( if Any ) and with NIC and give finger prints ...they will give you a form to sign to get the signature scanned
8. then all done .....They will send you urgent service by courier or Normal service by normal post

This is my experience so far . I saw still there are very huge queues at HQ for manual passport process . There are few things that has to improve in this online system ....but this is very good initiative for digital srilanka

Thanks a mil but I wanted to know if they issue passports within 14 days without fail.

I have an appointment on 19 th July to submit my biometrics and want my passport before 15 August.

What is the service you selected? Normal or urgent?

And yes, this is a really good intiative
