මං නේෂන් ට්‍රස්ට් එකේ fd එකක් දැම්ම 13% රේට් එකට. ගිය සතියේ එක රිනිව් වෙලා අද ලෙටර් එක අවේ. එකේ තියෙනවා විත්හෝල්ඩ් ටැක්ස් කියලා 2.5% අඩු කරලා. එතකොට fd එකේ හරි රේට් එක 11.5% නේද? මේ සින් එක හැම බෑන්ක් එකක්ම තියෙනවද?

WHT was introduced more than two decades ago and interest rate varied from time to time . At that time if you declare that you are not a tax payer this amount was not deducted, but in recent 5 years this has got changed.

This is relavant to all the banks. They will taxed 2.5%. from the interest you earned for the perioud. Ex if you have been given 100/= as interest they will charged 2.50/= as with holding tax. Not the 2.5%
