Gampola is a city situated close to Kandy in the central province of Sri Lanka. Gampola was built as capital of the island by king Buwanekabahu the VI, who governed in the middle of the 14th century for 4 years. The last king of Gampola was king Buwanekabahu V. He governed the island for 29 years.


The Villa "Mount View" lies in approx. 3.567 ft above sea level (temperature at night mostly 12° to 15° Celsius) and 3.5 km outside of Gampola in the midst of forests and tea fields. The wonderful view of the large terrace gave the house its name. It belongs to the "Lotus-Villa", which is renowned for its authentic ayurvedic treatments. The Villa "Mount View" has 3 double rooms and a single room and a chef, who prepares Sri Lankan gastronomic delicacies in such a way that is also a joy for European palate.
