What are the new functionality available in the new sampath vishwa UI, compare to the very old sampath vishwa UI (not the previous UI rubbish) ? 
I saw a withdraw button for FD in the new one. didn't try that yet. in the very old ui, to withdraw an FD, had to send a msg.
anything else new ?

In the very old UI, can download transactions in csv, xls etc. very useful if you process the data for various tasks. I saw only pdf format in the new one. anyone saw any option for csv, xls download? can extract data from a pdf but it is an additional bother.
in the new ui, when viewing transactions, half the screen (left) is used to show account info and the other half (right) used for transaction list. did anyone find a way to change this? A bother as sometimes have to be scrolling left and right to see the transaction records shown in half a screen. This will depend on screen size and zoom level. But a ui has to be designed to tolerate a wide variance. In the very old ui, it was a sensible arrangement.
what happened to the account nicknames from the old system. they are missing. Does the bank expect us to remember the account numbers!. Anyone any luck. I am still looking for the place to add them. But don't feel like wading through a pool of poop.
In the previous rubbish, could not do multiple bill payments in one go. In the very old one this was provided. Hope they have corrected it. Did not check yet.
Looks like, the new UI (and the one before) have been developed by an inexperienced bunch who have not analysed the customer use cases properly.
Luckily the link to the very old UI is still there. Hope they keep it so.
I still find that the very old ui is intuitive, sensibly designed and simple to use.
Definitely not done by the same people who did this UI and the previous UI.

Yeah, I don't see any reason why they had to recreate a completely new interface that is inferior to their original version.
In the new UI, when you convert PFCA to LKR, you don't see the rate. In the original version, it showed the exact rate that you are about to get.
The latest version is, however, much better that the crap they had until last week.

i heard that the very old sampath vishwa may have been developed by an outside IT company (may be indian) and the present one and the one before that was done inhouse in sampath bank.
If so, it explains a lot.

Do you know why they discontinued that old one? It was because it was developed by the keylogger keyboard company, mainly the mobile app. Since the data leak from that keylogger keyboard company, they decided to phase it out and started the development of a new one, mainly in-house. They were worried that the keylogger keyboard company was also stealing their customers' data. That is why the new one took so long and is still being developed. If you don't know who that keylogger keyboard company is, the following YouTube link will give you a hint.
