Don't put stupid arguments. What he meant is you can't focus straight on anything if you keep putting everything into your head what others think about.it's not about saving a child or raping

guess where people smoke the most just because people around you are smokers ? isn't that a rat race ? aren't they harming themselves because they are in a rat race doing what everyone does even at the expense of their own long term wellbeing ? and guess which societies has the declining rate of smokers. spoiler alert sinhalu. this is just one example.

it's a normal thing. everybody understands their society better and sees other societies superficially and draw false conclusions. google availability heuristics.

nope. that guy has explicitly mentioned the importance of being selfish, how important it is to do the thing that benefits you, not the society as a whole, most. what I have said is being overly selfish won't make any good. you might enjoy it for a while, or forever if you are incapable of seeing the consequences of your actions on society, but i don't believe it's something that should be promoted.

I grew up in this society so i know for a fact that sinhalese don't mind their own business. They are so keen to put their own illusion to other peoples head. Many youngsters pay for it because from the childhood brain is dumbed down.

it's extremely rare to find a society where people mind their businesses and their businesses only. that's just how society works. at least sinhala parents don't buy their kids telescopes to spy on their neighbors. sinhlau at least understand their habits are bad and their children shouldn't be taught about them. compare it with societies where people encourage their children to waste their time on spying neighbors as I have said. and at least skim some article on availability heuristics.

besides i don't see how this is related with the issue on the original post. societies pressure their views on other people and that's a fact. i don't disagree with it. don't you think it's the same thing u guys are doing here ? shaming education and glorifying business ?

It's not shaming the education. It's about shaming the mundane education. Not everyone is need to follow the path of education system.O/l a/l and degree path. There are so many other ways to get educated.Of course you need to follow that path to become doctors and engineers. But I know for a fact lot of people have way more potential to become successful if they were not forced to follow the system since childhood. In sri lanka it is very forced.Even the people with potential gets dumb down because once their education is over their energy is gone. All I say is Sinhalese should learn to have a break and see what they can do for themselves.
