also just fyi, don't use the seagate hdds,I've been using one for time machine for the past year n so,last week it just gave up without any warning.

alienware laptops/desktops are specifcally build for gaming/high end graphics work. Also the new macs come with pretty good gpu.also with alienware laptops & mac laptops,it's totally two different scenarios. simply Alienware is portable power gaming laptop or dekstop while macs are thin power. my personal experience is so far gaming was ok on my mac,I've played gta IV,COD4/5/6 +some other games.so I think it will keep up with it,but not to beat alienware. so if you need to play game on a mac,you can install windows via bootcamp & use it just as a normal windows computer. but for 3D rendering,I didn't do much heavy work on blender, but I've heard that pixar is using mac+linux based units for rendering.so i guess it's pretty supportive for 3D work too.

Windows on a mac vs Alienware just the hardware spec I think. Windows runs on mac without probs. Speaking of cracks well there a lot softwares or alternate softwares with some kind of crack for macs. Except the OS every software I run on my mac is pirated :D

Better to ask CrazyLife though, he helped me to buy mine :D
