Going to Buy a Laptop! Need Your Opinions :)

මචන්ලා මමත් එහෙනං ලැප්ටොප් එකක් ගන්නයි යන්නේ...මම අපේ උරාජ් මාමිගෙන් ඇහුව...පොර විස්තර ටිකකුත් කිව්වා...(පොරගේ මතකය නම් අන්තිමයි)

මම මුලින් හිතාගෙන හිටියේ Core i5 එකක් ගන්න with Dedicated VGA...එත් මම අපහු මගේ අදහස වෙනස් කරගත්ත මගේ පාවිච්චිය ගැන හිතල බලල...දැන් මම ගන්න යන්නේ Core i3 with Shared VGA එකක්...මගේ පාවිච්චියේ හැටියට මට Shared VGA එක ඇතියි කියල හිතෙනවා ඒ වගේම Core i3 එකත් ඇතියි කියල හිතනවා...හරි කතාවලින් වැඩක් නැහැ..පල්ලෙහා දාල තියෙනවා මම බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන Configuration එක..

මගේ budget එක නම් Below Rs. 65,000. රුපියල් දාහක් දෙදාහක් වැඩි වුනාට නම් කමක් නැහැ...

උඹල මට කියන්න එපා Dell 3521/3537 එක ගන්න කියල...මම එකේ Shape එකට/ Appearance එකට ආස නැහැ

අපේ උරාජ් මාමිට වගේ HP-Phobia එකක් මට නම් නැහැ...ඇත්තටම මම HP ඒවාට කැමතියි..මම අද Unity Plaza එකට ගිහින් බැලුව...උඹල හිතන විදියට විශ්වාස කරන්න පුළුවන් කඩ මොනවද තියෙන්නේ??? MC එක ඉස්සරහ තියෙන Lapzone.lk ෂොප් එකෙන් ලප්ටෝප්ස් ගත්ත අය ඉන්නවද? Tech Zone එකේ හොඳ නැහැලු නේද warranty එහෙම?? Asian Computer Systems නම් හොඳයි වගේ අනිත් එක ඒක සිංහල කඩයක් (ඇතුලේ වෙසක් කූඩු එල්ලලා තිබුන)..

දැනට මට හිතට ඇල්ලුවේ පහලින් දාල තියෙන models ටික තමයි(කැමැත්තෙ අනුපිලිවෙලට දාල තියෙනවා)...උඹලගේ අදහස් ටිකත් කියපන්කො බලන්න ලප්ටෝප්ස් ගැනයි ශෝප්ස් ගැනයි..

PS (Edit) : USA වලින් International Warranty එක්ක ගන්න Laptops වලට මෙහෙ Agents ලාගෙන් අපිට වොරන්ටි claim කරගන්න පුලුවන්ද මචන්ලා??? විශේෂයෙන්ම Asus වලට EPSI, Acer වලට Metropolitan වගේ???

Tulip computer(ඒ දවස් වල සිංහල කඩයක්, දැන් කොහොමද දන්නේ නැ) , barclays, winsoft මේ කඩ තුන තමා මට හොදයි කියල කියන්න පුළුවන්, තව abans, singer, espi, metropolitan හොදයි මචං, හැබැයි prices චුට්ටක් විතර වැඩිවෙයි එත් warranty claim නම් කිසිම අව්ලක් නැහැ.
මන් නම් recommend කරන්නේ සහෝ HP,Asus,Lenovo කියන brand 3n එකකට යන්න කියල. lenovo ලංකාවේ එච්චර famous නැති උනත් ගොඩක් හොදට use කරන්න පුළුවන් හොද durability and hard use ලැප් එකක්. lenovo(IBM)

ස්තුතියි මචන් රිප්ලයි එකට...ඔව් බන් මමත් අහල තියෙනවා මේ එළකිරි එකේම අම්බානෙක ඕකුන්ට අහුවෙච්ච එවුන්...

මම මේ බැලුවේ Asia Computer Systems (උන් නම් Acer එකම දෙනවා ගාන අඩුවෙන් with Metropolitan warranty)...බලමු මම එකෙන් හරි Barclays/Winsoft වගේ එකකින් තමයි ගන්න බැලුවේ...Barclays එකේ වොරන්ටි හොඳයිනේ...සෝ එකෙන් තමයි බලන්න ඕනේ...

ඔව් බන් දැනට නම් මට හිතට ඇල්ලුවේත් ඒ උඹ කිව්වා Brands ටිකම තමයි....

Machan I think ASUS and Toshiba are the best performing and most stable brands available at the moment. I brought Asus from Lapzone last year. No trouble at all. Its been close to an year now. Anyway I can't recommend Lapzone because I don't have much information about them even though my machine works well. but overall Asus brand is very good. Same with Toshiba. It maybe slightly better than Asus. I haven't used one but I did a little research and Toshiba comes slightly better. I think HP reportedly had some hardware issues recently. I am not sure but do some research before buying. Anyway I recommend Asus or Toshiba. John keels are the agents for both brands. However I am not sure whether they are the agent for Asus. Lapzone told me I can claim warranty from John Keels. If you buy Acer go for Metropolitan. Be aware of buying from Unity plaza. Most of the shops sell defected products and its even harder to claim the warranty. I think metropolitan and john keels are the best for after sales service and warranty claims. hope this helps

Thank you very much for the valuable information given machan..I also believe that Asus always comes up with high quality products as they are highly reputed for maintaining the quality of their products. At the moment, it's been a choice between the products I have listed above and given the requirements within myself, I will most probably go for either an Asus or HP (or even Toshiba). However, I will make sure the fact that I will contact Barclays, Asia Computers, Lapzone and some other independent companies around Colombo and get the details of the available laptops, and then I will do an in-depth research regarding the durability of each product.

Yeah as you said, they are the best for claiming warranties, but their prices are also quite high probably because of their highly supportive service. I will have a look at Companies like Abans, Metropolitan (already checked), Singer (not for a Singer laptop but for some other brand) and see how I can move on with one of them if it is possible.

Thanks again for the information given machan..Even though you said that you wouldn't recommend Lapzone, I believe that they would provide a good service. We'll see.

When did you buy it machan? Can I know the specifications of the laptop? I like the shape and appearance of the Acer V5. It was there at the stores but I was paying my attention to the Acer V series.

I hope the prices are below 72k at the moment.
